I am Crystal Newman and I  teach History for grades seven through nine. I graduated from South Lamar in 1993 and received my Bachelor’s of Professional Accountancy from Mississippi State University in December 1996. I then went on to attend the University of Alabama School of Law and received her Juris Doctor in 2000. I worked as an attorney for several years before returning to school where she earned her Master’s of Education in Business/Marketing Administration from Auburn University. I have been teaching at South Lamar since August 2012. I am certified to teach History, Science, and Business/Marketing Education. I am married to Phillip McNees, also a South Lamar graduate. We have two children, Ava Camilla and Jack, who also attend South Lamar.
