I graduated from Kennedy High School. I then attended Brewer State Junior College in Fayette, Alabama. I finished up at Mississippi University for Women where I received my BS in Elementary Education. The first 6 years I taught in Sulligent. I then moved to South Lamar and have been here for 12 year. I married Scotty Matthews and have two children. My son Jacob Matthews graduated from South Lamar in 2018. My daughter Julie is a sophomore at South Lamar. I love teaching the 5th and 6th grade.
