Hello! My name is Lana Langley and I am excited to be providing speech and language services at Vernon Elementary School. During my professional career, I have had the opportunity to work with a variety of populations and disorders. Before my employment with Lamar County, I worked with Children’s Rehabilitation Service where I was the coordinator of the Augmentative Communication and Technology (ACT) clinic and an evaluating team member for Feeding and Cleft/Lip Palate clinics. My past work experience includes providing early and preschool intervention services, as well as speech positions in the Fayette County school system, home health setting, and private practice. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Communicative Disorders from the University of Mississippi and a Master of Science in Speech Pathology from the Mississippi University for Women. I also obtained a Masters of Arts in Educational Leadership from the University of Alabama, Birmingham. I currently serve as the SHAA Councilor of Speech Language Pathology. I am serving a second term representing District 4 for the Alabama Board of Examiners for Speech Pathology and Audiology where I am the Chairman.
I am married to Chuck Langley and have two children, Sara and Alan. Being is a Speech Language Pathologist it is the BEST JOB EVER!!
